With the holidays fast approaching I can’t help but recognize that this might possibly be the worst time of year to do a child-sponsorship campaign.
Yet I trust in a mighty God who calls Himself Jehovah Jireh, literally translated
“Yahweh will provide”!
One of the beautiful parts about our Jehovah Jireh is that He most often uses men and women to be His hands of provision to those in need. The even greater mystery is that as we open our hands to give generously somehow our own joy increases and we do not suffer a lack of provision in our own lives.
A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor.
Proverbs 22:9
