Girls WILL be G-I-R-L-S!

I absolutely L-O-V-E having girls!
I love my two on Earth and can’t wait to meet the one we have in Heaven!

Girls are… well… sugar and spice and everything nice!…
+ a sprinkle of drama here and there 🙂
(but who doesn’t love a good drama at times, right)

Our
little Elliana Grace turned four this past Monday ~ FOUR.
What? How?
Why?… can somebody stop time, please! We are having too much fun with
these precious little ones and don’t really like the fact that they will
someday realize that we’re not the funniest, coolest people on the
planet.

…but until then I suppose we just better enjoy all the blessedness that comes with parenting preschoolers and kindergartners!

Elli
wanted to have a tea party for her birthday ~ a super girly “no boys
allowed” tea party where we could get all dressed up and just do “girl
things”.

So we did it!

Face painting was done by one of our precious neighbor girls who’s an amazing little artist.

I even got in on the action!
Our other neighbor girl is an amazing dancer and finger-nail artist as well, so each little princess got their nails done with multiple layers of glitter and special designs
Girls like jewelry, so we had to have a jewelry making station!
(Thank you Jordyn for your amazing patience helping these little ones)
What would a princess party be without a little dancing…
thanks to Pandora and our outdoor speaker system we had Disney tunes filling the backyard with just the right ambiance

The joy of this lovely afternoon makes me want to do tea parties more often 🙂
Before indulging in cake I read a special love letter for these little Princesses from their True King about using their beautiful hands to serve Him through loving and caring for others.
This picture cracks me up… it’s like I just asked “did somebody sneak a bite of the cake?”
Elli: “She did it… it was Nya”.

“Ok, maybe it was me.”
 Let the Tea Party begin!
This little girl is hilarious when it comes to presents. We’ve discovered she’s quite sneaky and discovered both of her presents from Daddy, Nya, and I. So we played a little joke on her and put toilet paper in the box with our present and exclaimed how wonderful it was that she was now 4 and could wipe herself! She wasn’t fooled and exclaimed “no no no” and quickly pulled out every roll until finding her present.
She got a butterfly cage where we order real caterpillars and watch them grow into butterflies! She asked me yesterday,  “Mom, after we order the caterpillars and have them for awhile do we need to order their wings?” Cute.
Hugging Sophia after opening her gift bag full of amazing goodies, crafts, and toys!

Me explaining that she can color on this puppy dog and then put him in the washer and he comes clean and then she can do it again! What a cool toy!… well, except that we did already have an accident with coloring on another dog (which was NOT the washable one) tee hee oops.
The party may have officially ended after the presents, but that didn’t mean the party ended…
in some ways it was just beginning 🙂
Yes, I am trying to make a bracelet while my daughters paint away

It just kept going…
…and going…
…AND going…

…until my entire face, both arms, both feet, and legs were painted.
They said I looked ready for Africa!
Elli, thank you for a great birthday idea!
We love spending every day with you, no matter what we’re doing. You light up our lives with your free spirit, gentle kisses, tender heart, and gigantic hugs.
